Is my Digital Camera 'Fujifilm Finepix 2600 Zoom' very good to use on landscapes, etc? I am only 14 but wanted to know whether this camera is good for what I need? Go to my portfolio to see my photos i have taken with this camera.

I dont have any experience with that camera as for looking at your portfolio, you only have one photo there so again its very difficult to judge,

i would suggest that you post some more of your work, and perhaps if you look and leave comments on some landscape photographs that you like here,

I'm sure those concerned will return the compliment and have a look at yours and give you some Good advise,
i hope this is of some help.
    Andy.

Hi James, welcome to ePz! Smile

The Finepix 2600's zoom gives 38mm (efl) at the wide end - which is not very wide - so you may struggle to get sweeping vistas but give it a try before deciding whether to spend money on another camera.

You may already have seen reviews of you camera but if not take a look HERE

Post some more of your efforts and I am sure you will get constructive feedback which will help you decide.

Hi James and welcome to ePz!
I have had a look at your first upload, and left you some remarks.
I hope you don't think I an being unkind or nitpicking at you efforts.
I have not uploaded too many pics myself as recently I have been too busy with work to get out with the camera! How sad...
The only advice I can offer about the suitability of you cam for Landscapes is - Try it and see!
Remember that if you like the shot, then that is all that matters.

    Have fun!

    Doug

    Hi James,

As Carabosse says, 38mm is not very wide, but pick your subjects and learn to live with the cameras limitations and you will be fine. Look around on the site and you will see some really good images taken on some very simple cameras, and some pretty poor ones taken on high end cameras.

Look forward to seeing more of your images on here.
