Personally I cant wait for the MKIII to come out, not because I want one (I do really but wife says no), but because the price of MKII's will hopefully drop like a lead weight and I can get one of those at long last!

And only a few IDs of any kind on the second hand market; I think that professional photographers hang on to their gear a bit longer as it takes a fair investment of time to get used to a new model.

    All ten minutes of it.

More to to with that these days they are just not worth selling. Why get £1000 for something that cost close to five or more.

If I could afford to buy one I would just look the unopened box for 10 minutes!

Or maybe 'gaze' would be a better word!

    Or 'glaze' even more probably

Thanks for all the help lads, I have checked a few websites and also asked BH photo shop in new york if there will be a new model due soon but no news. Unfortunatley the 400d wont do for surf photography as it only has 3fps.
I am planning to fly up to New York from Brasil to visit BH photo and get fully kitted out with the mkII plus a couple of lenses (wide angle and probably the 100-400) plus carrying kit, cards, a monopod and maybe a new duo core laptop!!! And believe it or not the wife has no problem with me dishing out about $9000, as long as I bring back a $1000 of clothes for her and the bairns!!!
Just hope I get all the stuff back safe and sound. The reason why Im not buying one here in brasil is that they cosr nearly 4000 pounds sterling for the body only???!!!!!
Well all ive got to do now is sell the house and then im off!!!
