Picked this flash over Canon 430 EX II because of the big price difference. I will be using this flash mainly for macro work. Is this a good idea or should I actually be buying the Canon flash? Will appreciate your input.

The Yongnuo has a good reputation and it work just as well as the Canon. I have just bought one and am thinking of getting another 2 or 3.

I have 2 of them and they are brilliant! Recycle times on full power are not as fast as the nikon / canon but if you have time to wait it wont not be a problem. ( talking 1/2 - 1 second wait )

can u kindly update how do u fire yn 560II flash(off camera) in manual mode. I tried using rf603 trigger but it doesn work.

And also how do u use multi mode feature. Since it is a manual flash how does it work? are u using any triggers for this.

    Thanks.

You need to also have a RF603 on your camera to trigger it.
