I could be up for this. Before anyone asks, Easter is the weekend of 7th/8th April this year.

Do you have ideas of where to stay?

Nah, the Isle of Sky is in London!
Murdoch and his ever increasing empire has taken over so much of the Isle of Dogs that locals have renamed it!

    ;o)

I'd be up for this, as I'm only 45 minutes away and from there!!

And could also take my rather large tent if anyones up for a bit of cold spring camping?

I was looking at doing a meet over on Skye, but the setting up would be a nightmare!!

I would wonder why anyone would want to travel past such vistas as lets say the Lake District for one to go to the Isle of Skye, although beautiful in many respects and particular areas of it profoundly so, you would pass by many beautiful locations and opportunities on your journey there. However if Skye is what you wish for then be prepared for unsettled weather and the rigours of ascending areas for either original and perhaps often taken scenes.

Kind of like the Lake District then? Except even more so in the Lake District. Your post tends to contradict itself.

I'd love to make it, but sadly it's a bit far for me :-(

So what you are saying is that why did you bother coming over and taking alot of the pictures in your PF??

To get somewhere you have to pass many places.....To get to the Lake District I would have to pass through alot of scenery as well so I might not bother going to the Lake District.....or when I go to Glasgow to catch my flight to America (or anywhere really)I would go through Glencoe etc, damn...so I better not go to America!!

just the distances involved, I'm not in charge of the weather and like anywhere else you have to make the best of it, but the west coast is notorious for unsettled weather, this can and does give great photo opportunities.
There's nothing wrong in suggesting a meet on Skye or anywhere, it was a thought that I put down here with regard to and I emphasis the distances involved for some not all, choice is a wonderful thing you know Smile

Exactly what I'm relating to, but as I've said choice.

Well I didn't expect to get such an interesting reaction to this post.
I just happened to be going there for a couple of weeks with some non photographer friends and thought it would be fun to meet up with some like minded EPZers at some point.

    Kate

Well I'm off for a week on the Easter Weekend as it's ma birthday!!

So I shall probably pop over to Skye as well.
