Okay it's ABBA. Kate appeared on an abba special and Bono has sung with Benny and Bjorn performing Dancing Queen during a Swedish leg of a U2 tour. Well I did say sort of.

No idea of the connection between U2 and Kate Bush, but you should all have a Google for a cover of Wuthering Heights by Brazilian Metal band Angra. And yes, that's a man reaching those high notes.

Not everyone's cup of tea but I think they do the song justice...

Maybe this topic will turn to cover versions of Kate's after this...?

I'm a huge fan of Kate. Have all her records on vinyl and cd, plus her box collection which has a few songs never released.
Favorite album - Hounds of Love
    Favorite Song - Big Sky.
Called my daughter after her but had to add in an i as it didn't suit her surname.

I was a massive fan back in 1970 something...I even went as far as buying the Japanese imports of her 7in singles, was in the fan club (founder member), went to see her at several venues around the country and even waited backstage once to try to meet her. Favourite track would be Man with Child. I also wish that we would hear December will be Magic, at Christmas rather than the usual dross that is played in every shop and every radio station for three months.

Well, I have to say that that screechy voice put me in mind of fingernails on a blackboard.

Still, at least she was different. I wonder if she would ever have made it had she started out in today's homogenised market...

She probably would have done because she had a decent enough body to make a raunchy video. Wink

I'm a fan. I've always thought she is a female version of Peter Gabriel (who I'm a massive fan of), not just because of their past work together, but because they both push the boundaries of music. Music to think about rather than just the plain old 'verse-chorus-verse-chorus-solo-chorus-end'.
