Where does this leave the affected models?
Is there a possible correction through their service centres?

Thats a very good point if they have corrected this problem in the new camera then surely they are obliged to correct the problem on earlier models.

It is nice to see the problem being talked about in a serious manner Ratcatcher!.......It seems the schoolboys have gone home!.....I have just bought the K20 and I have the same problem,I get around it by overcompensating, but it is something I will have to get rectified either through the retailer or Pentax themselves!........I also think the site Moderator should have stepped in on this thread !....you did afterall ask a serious question and all you required was a sensible answer!....I hope you get sorted out my friend!....Cheers kenp

Thanks Kenp
I was thinking of contacting Pentax to get it looked at as it's still under warranty, but the problem then is how long will that take, from what i've heard they never seem to be in a hurry to fix things. I don't want to be without my camera for too long.
