I have a Canon G12 and am considering a Lee RF75mm filter system.

I would like to know exactly what (sold separately) "parts" I need to attach the system to the camera. Lee filter systems require a lens adaptor ring - I believe the appropriate size is 58mm? But how does this fit onto the G12 body? Will I also need the Canon FA-DC58B filter adaptor?

At present I am thinking the Canon adaptor must fit onto the G12. The Lee adaptor ring then fits onto the Canon adaptor and then the filter holder screws onto the Lee Adaptor ring. Is this correct?

If anyone is familar with this set up your advice would be much appreciated.

    Thanks,
    Cliff

    I use this system.

As you say, you need the adaptor which attaches to the G12 body and has a 58mm filter thread. You then attach a Lee 58mm adaptor ring.

The RF75 adaptor clips onto this ( doesn't screw in ), and then 2 filters can be slotted into the adaptor.

There are some videos on YouTube showing how the system works.

I use a Lensmate adapter on my G11 along with a Lee 74mm adapter, ring the filter system then attaches to this in the normal way. I'm using my Lee 100mm filters in this setup so I'm not sure whether it is applicable to the 75mm version
