lens compatibility

I have a canon 30d (just new into canon cameras) I have been offered a canon et-74 200 mm ultrasonic, is this compatible with my camera and are there any pitfalls, ie is it auto focus or manual, Hope someone may be able to help.

It's an ET, how much shoud I be looking at paying for one in vgc ?

Canon don't make a 74-200 lens...are you sure you have the right details? The only ET-74 reference they have is for a lens hood.
As far as I am aware, the only 75-200 lens they produced is an FD mount, which won't fit current bodies....make sure you get the details correct before you think about buying it. You need to make sure it's an EF mount.
