Would anyone be interested in joining in with a Photographic Day at Liberty's Raptors And Reptiles in Ringwood Hants?

Price would be about 30 per person, and gets you access into the cages where it is safe, and someone to help pose the birds for you.

See their website here : Liberty's

Minimum number of 5 people wanted, and date I was thinking of was the weekend 25/26th Feb, which ever day people prefer.

    Any takers?

    Miles,

Would love to but that weekend might prove difficult.

Stick me on the list for maybe another date....

    Mike.

Miles, yes I'd be interested. Either day would suit me.

Can we assume Miles that the place is now not run or owned by this chappie (here)

We used to live nearby (lovely old thatched cottage in Ibsley near the River Avon) and ventured there a few times until we found out what was going on

    Interesting read though

I didn't read the whole article to be honest, I just knew it existed having been 'on the spot' when the "event" took place.

Glad to see that he has nothing to do with the place.

The location itself is great so I am sure a good day will be had (plenty of local Mink to shoot as well - literally!) Wink

No, the new owners are absolutely nothing to do with the previous owner.

Ok, Chris, have you down as a definate then.

Well I think I might have some free time around then Wink)

Just depends on finding some "cheap" accomodation.

I went on an EPZ day here last April. It was great, the owners did their best to give us some good flight shots, and allowed us inside some of the aviarys for some close ups. I would recommend this as a day out, but then again it was also reasonably local for me. (May be interested in another day a bit later on.)

    bump....

im going off photographing captive birds and also zoo stuff
as i think its much more of a buzz photographing in the wild when you have to work for the shot
lets face it its easy to photograph kept animals
and more skill and stealth envolved with wild shots
    but thx for the invite

Never been there miles but sounds good put me down for the 25th don't think I have anything else booked in on this day. unfortunately can't make the Sunday back to work.

Unfortunately we don't get many wild Golden Eagles and the like where I live and blackbirds, starlings and crows are okay for the first 1000 shots but they get a little old after that.

    Ok, Sat the 25th Febuary:

So far myself, Chris Maddock, Phil Beale...

anymore takers, we need at least 2 more....
