Light Stand Adaptor for Speedlite and Brolly

Hi, I feel a bit daft asking this, but I'm struggling to find a gizmo I need. I've googled it but couldn't convince myself that what was shown was what I want.

I want an adaptor that will go on top of a studio light stand, allow me to attach a brolly and provide a tripod screw on top. The intention is to fit a Strobies flash trigger on the screw and pop a Speedlite into the hotshoe. The adaptor needs to tilt and I need to be able to make certain the flash points along the brolly axis (I can imagine it pointing at an odd angle!)

Can anyone help, please?

John

A google search on " Manfrotto 026 Lite Tite swivel + Umbrella adapter " for those interested will come up trumps.. there are also Lastolite alternates too.

FWIW...

What exactly do I search for, BigRick? That was my initial problem.

Try putting this into the ebay search engine - strobe umbrella mount

You'll find plenty of options then.

TBH I started with cheap plastic Chinese ones, but ended up with Calumet's copies of the Manfrotto 026 after the plastic ones broke.

Helpful comment, Dom. I had feared exactly that problem with plastic ones and it's good to know there's a Calumet version too. I'll try googling your suggestion, though.

the ones i ended up with are all metal, with metal screws etc. they have lasted me about 3 years already, and show no sign of wear or damage.

but as said above, that should find what you need. Smile

That one has a shoe at the top, not a tripod screw
