I know this is really easy but i've spent too much time on it already and can't get it right, i have an object on my screen, i want to make it look like it has a light behind it not necessacerily backlighting it, i just need to light the background, in this case a curtain but since i have the object already, i need to do this digitally....any idea's?

Terry.

Copy the layer. Use the Lighting Effects filter and choose, say, Spotlight. Make the adjustments as required using the sliders. Add a Layer Mask and erase the light over the object and where required.
