    this may sound strange but i love to take photos of my mates skating and bmxing, i just dont know how to get the best lighting? anyone got any ideas?

    Go to the strobist site - loads of advice. Probably small off camera flash is the best route in.

    Your camera probably has a fill-in flash mode (fill-in flash is using flash in conjunction with another light source, usually daylight). I'd suggest messing about with that before trying anything more ambitious.

    Type in Dave Black to yahoo be warned it will cost you loads of money for me he is the best with hotshoe flash for sports photography, Look in ON THE ROAD AND AT THE RANCH, yes guested it he is a yank, otherwise Joe Mcnally is another great with hotshoe flash set ups.

    i do extreme moto-x and use my sb800 in sunlight it woks very well should work for your type aswell.
