Hi,
Can anyone help me?
I have started to use Lightroom to process my RAW files and it works very well, and I am hoping to use the web module to create a gallery. The only thing is I want to put a watermark over the images to prevent copying. All I can find is that Lightroom will put a copyright notice on the bottom of the image but this is no answer.
Does anyone use lightroom for their gallery and what if anything do you do?
My only thought is I would have to export each image to Photoshop and save each one separately before importing back to Lightroom.
Thanks for any help.
Sue
Hi Sue,
Lightroom as far as I know doesn't do a very good job at watermarking. If it's just a few images you want to watermark then the Photoshop route is probably best.
If you want more flexibility you could have a look at third party software like iWatermark (which is shareware and costs around 20 $, availabe for both Mac and Windows):
http://www.scriptsoftware.com/iwatermark/
Another option might be Kenneth Woodruffs "Copyright watermark" script, which can be found here: http://lightroom-extra.com/ under Downloads in the "Goodies" section.
Hope this helps,
Alexandra
The watermark from LR is fine for my purposes, but alternatively your website coulld dynamically add a watermark to your images as they are displayed, speak to your host. An action in PS could add a watermark to a batch of files. HTH.
