Thanks for reminding me to never again buy an Adobe product in its first flush of youth, Glenn.
Sorry. I just mean I paid about three times this price for Lightroom 4, when it was first released. Glenn’s post reminds me not to repeat that mistake when Lightroom 5 comes out. Apparently, prices fall hard and fast.
I’m partly joking, since I have of course used Lightroom 4 in the meantime (though not as much as I had planned).
Quote: Lightroom 5 must be on its way
Unlikely as Lightroom 4 is less than a year old... released 5th March 2012
Ah, you’re right, and I had forgot about that. To clarify my clarification above, I actually purchased Lightroom 3 for three times the price Glenn points out in this thread. Later, I upgraded to Lightroom 4 for the upgrade price at the time, which was around 100 euros if I remember correctly.
All told, £68 for the full version of Lightroom 4 is a steal, especially considering the software is still under a year old.
I paid about £65 for the upgrade to LR4, so yes, it's a good price (even my upgrade price was good at the time - now available for £53). Hopefully a few lurkers might have benefited.
These special prices are clearly randomly offered by design just to give the late adopters a nudge. I don't think in reality I'd have the patience to wait around for the best price—I'm one of the Adobe lemmings.
