Mmmm. I wouldn't go out of my way to buy a gold one.

I bought a jar of Marmite the other day - the marmite is brown!!!!

It was like spreading caramel spread on my toast! Sad

(Still tastes the same though! Smile)

ROFL - it does divide opinion although I can see Marmite-aholics buying these rare limited edition jars on darkened street corners at grossly inflated prices

I'd go a long way out of my way to avoid buying any colour variant of it at all - vile stuff.

Slap great gobbets of yeast poo on perfectly good toast? No thanks. Cream cheese and jam is a different matter.

Oh that's a great idea. I've never thought of putting Marmite, jam and cheese on the same bit of toast.

I have tried Marmite and Seville Orange Marmalade together and that brings out the best of sweet and savory in both of them - Yummy!

If your local supermarket doesn't have any - you can buy it online. Has been seen in Asda and Sainsbury's to my knowledge

    Where to buy Black Gold

Robert Dyas also had the XO version and were even cheaper than the supermarkets at the time.

I saw the luxury, rare and Limited Edition "Gold" version in Asda this morning - £4 per jar.

These will become collectible and will change hands for vast fortunes on auction web sites in the very near future.

I told my wife they will be a good investment and a hedge against inflation for our retirement fund.

Just had to put another one in the trolley as part of a stock pile.

I think it would be rude not to Wink
