I am off to Tintern Abbey for a week or so soon.
Anyone got any recommendations for locations to shoot round that way ?

Symonds Yat. Not too far and absolutely stunning.
Forest of Dean,White castle,Raglan castle,Chepstow Castle,Forest of Dean railway..
After Tintern Abbey take the road up to Monmouth many nice spots along there, especially at Redbrook,it has an old railway bridge across the river there..
I've not done the Sculpture Trail in the Forest of Dean lately but it used to be good.
Google says their main site might be iffy so I won't chance linking to it just in case. It's probably fine but I'm on the office pc and would like to keep my job
How far are you willing to travel? Brecon Beacons are less than an hour away....

Really looking for places to pop out to fo an evening.
Thanks for all the suggestions so far folks.
Chepstow Castle, Severn Bridge
Plenty of good locations in the Forest of Dean like Symonds Yat, Mallards Pike, Cannop Ponds and the RSPB reserve at Nagshead. Ross-on-Wye and Goodrich Castle are also worth a visit as is Westbury Court Gardens which is on the A48 to Gloucester. Lydney may be worth a visit as there are the docks and Dean Forest railway there
