"I for one think its now time to take off the gloves and start taking the fight to them."

I think so too. It's about time we actually do something to these idiots (I'll watch what I say) that honestly think they can strut around everywhere bombing what they like. I can actually recall people of the UAE dancing in the streets when planes hit the World Trade Centers in America, so action needs to be taken prompty, and if this means bombing Middle Eastern countries and killing civilians to make Al Quaeda pay then so be it.

Thank god that the scale of the attack compared to America is tiny, as I think there has only been 2 deaths thus far.

Joe, you don't get my point at all do you ?

Quote: Yeah, that will really work - more innocents slaughtered.

I meant go after the terrorists, not kill innocents.

Quote: You cant go around the world killing people indescriminately and get away with it

really? these terrorist are doing so. what would you do to stop them, use harsh language ?

Quote: You may have disagreed with Blairs position on Iraq but most of you voted him back in again.

bullshit. most of us voted against him, but he's still in power because of our crap voting system.

Quote: Any further bloodshed will almost undoubtedly be reaped back again.

my point exactly. the more they do this, the more people they will lose to their cause and the situation will get worse and worse.

er, no. Only 35% of those who voted (around 22% of those eligible to vote) voted Blair in again.

I personally think they should pull all our troops and civies out of the Middle East, and just drop a very large bomb over there. Nothing but hatred seems to stem from there anyway. It's brain washed into the kids from birth and won't stop. If people are worried about martyr's then tough. I'd rather have martyrs than bombers.

Time for a fresh start. No more pussy footing around.

If this seems harsh, well then yes, it is. If I upset anyone, then well that's life.

Yes Bri but who exactly are the terrorists?

Over 100,000 innocent civilians were killed in Iraq going after insurgents.

There was a javascript game on the web after 9/11 where you could bomb masked terrorists in the midst of markets etc. Every time you killed one you created 3 more due to killing of innocents.

All well and good saying take people out and make them 'glow in the dark' but go and see what that actually involves, get down to Central London and see what the aftermath of all this involves.

Can I inject a note of caution, we still have no confirmation about who did this, indestriminate blame is not appropriate. I realise feelings and running high but please, please be careful.

We take that on board K, but I think everyone including yourself knows that it was the Ali Baba crew.

Unbelievably stupid comments all over the net at the moment and half the so called 'news' is conflicting and unsubstantiated...time to cool down and back off maybe.

I tend not to speculate, I prefer to rely on facts. I've lived in Saudi and have a good idea about what people are like in the middle east, dont blame them all for being terrorists.

    well said Keith.

It may not seem so when events like this happen, but the extremists are still very much in the minority. Generalised war does little except kill many innocent people and create more extremists.

An intelligent, focussed, approach is needed now more than ever.

If this does turn out to be Arab extremists then I feel very sorry for the many very normal decent ones that live among us. This does as already stated build up hatred towards all of them.
