In the Liverpool Echo it is reported a newlywed couple sue Southport wedding photographer after waiting 18 months for pictures of their big day.

    They eventually got their album

In his defence the photgrapher said his terms and conditions stated tht it could take up to 18 months for the album to be supplied.

Seems an inordinate amount of time

Thats an new twist, Normally it takes the couple 18 months to decide if they want any prints, Once they have become bored with viewing the on-line thumbnail versions.....!

Must agree.... our albums are manufactured to order but rarely take more than 3 weeks from the time we order them to the time we receive the 'blank' album and then a maximum of a couple of weeks to put it all together. Taking 18 months to put an album together is excessive.

In our business, we find that clients frequently take anything from 6 to 12 months (3 years is the record so far) to choose their photos. Quite honestly, I would rather a couple did not rush into the album side of things so they can choose their photos with a degree of objectivity as this is the permanent record of the day Smile

Agree with Barry regarding 'not rushing' their choice for the album. One of my couples bought their album as their first wedding anniversary present to each other. I don't have a problem with that, and from their point of view, they are often broke after paying for the wedding.
Regarding the original post, though, was it 18 months before they actually SAW any photos, or 18 months from them ordering it and receiving the album?
