I want to upgrade my lens to a telephoto lens, can anyone suggest a decent lens & adapter ring - I don't want to spend more than £100 all in.

    Welcome to EPZ, Jerry. Smile

If your budget is £100 you are looking at second-hand. What lenses have you got at present?

Just the standard lens that came with the camera

I have seen a Olympus OM 85-250mm f5 lens, would this work with an adapter ring and if so what type of adapter would I need ?

SRB griturn do adapter rings, and you can look at their catalogue online and also phone them. I've never had a ring from them but I have had loads of other things.

I take it that your interested in legacy lenses + adaptors.

You say your interested in telephoto, but what kind of focal length.

With a budget of £100 this could be enough for two or three lenses plus an adapter it you shop around.

    I put a bit up here on legacy lenses + a G2.

And this is a big favorite of mine, it has certain qualities Smile

    Just checked LCE and Amazon.

Was able to find an adapter + 3 primes, 35mm, 50mm, and 135mm for a little over £100.

One of these, but I find that zooms of this nature are best avoided.

Thanks Paul, would it be possible for you to send me the links to those you found please.
I am getting more & more confused - I have read that it is possible to use the lenses from my old camera (film type) but don't know. Sorry to be a real newbie !!

Here`s a few zuiko`s, there`s also Canon FD, Pentax, Nikon etc, all every bit as good.

If you want a selection its probably best to get all the lenses in the same mount, to save on carrying loads of different adapters.
