The first one is on the watch list, and the second is tempting. Sadly, might have to wait till I am paid in September. But its always good to see what they tend to go for.

Hahahaha go for it, it's only money, we only live once. Don't worry about debt, let those that we owe the money to do the worrying Grin

Am I gonna be a total anorak if I take pics of the lenses. Has to be done, hold on

Took this with my cameraphone, I might get the 5D out and do a proper job lol Grin Even though it weighs a ton.

What you can't see is the neoprene wrist strap that I got, instead of a hand strap. I also bought a spare battery for about 8 ( this one ) came today and haven't tried it yet. I had a problem getting the other battery out, I'd recharged it last night. When I put it in this morning camera wouldn't fire up, I thought I'd maybe put it in the wrong way round, it was very hard to get out, needed help of nail file, but it was in the right way. All works now, but bit concerned that it had happened.

Despite putting a 10p piece in the shot, the photograph really doesn't do the thing justice, they are so small, either lens would go in trouser pocket or jacket pocket. Bizarrely the f2 looks fatter than the f1.8 and they are both about the same length(!)

The silver matches the Panasonic silver closely enough. The 45 had some blue plastic shrink wrapping the 12 didn't, I think the 12 may have been opened in the past, not certain. Am so chuffed with them.

I think prices on the rumour sites are for anything up to $2,000 - but release will be late 2015 so you have time to save (or sell your other half, get rid of a kidney...) Grin

I've just been for a read about it. Doesn't say anything about OIS so probably won't be? Can you imagine how great it will be. A 600mm (equiv) prime lens that you can probably hold in one hand! Have a whale of a time with that!

It won't have OIS because it is an Olympus lens and their bodies have IS built in. But be thankful - OIS in that lens would make it even larger!
The more knowledgeable ones say that optical IS is better than IBIS for longer focal lengths but even so let's say that takes handholding down to 1/300sec: blinkin' marvellous I say. Just add a monopod!

In MFT terms it will be a big lens. Compared to the equivalent 600mm f4 lens for a DSLR however it will be super dinky.

The 40-150mm f2.8 I believe will be out post Photokina so perhaps available before Christmas. The 300mm f4 is quoted in a number of places that Olympus are stating release sometime in 2015.
