Hello there, I was wondering if anybody could give me any advice about how to get my images noticed by magazine to get some editorials.
I am confident I can produce images to a high enough standard to get commisions, but where do I start?Grin

Welcome to EPZ! Can you tell us what steps and/or research you have done so far, what markets you are aiming for and what magazines, you have seen, which you think might be receptive to your efforts.

    Three Key issue:

    1) Quality of work. This has to be exceptional, as the competition is strong. Images must be of publishable quality. This would involve a good team : Photographer, Makeup Artist, and Hair Stylist. Post production skills have to be excellent too to give the images the 'look'.

    2) Networking. You have to build a network. This takes time. Attend social and gatherings where people in the 'business' attend. Build a social networking site for your art, but keep it professional in how you go about it. The knock on effect of working with various makeup artists and stylists will mean that your work will gradually be seen by more people. Do things for free initially; this will help build up your network.

    3) Get your images out there on sites such as this. There is no better 'tool' than actually getting your work seen.

    ... oh and I forgot .... luck.
