Adore it - any food that looks and feels like an industrial lubricant has got to be good

I spread it on toast before putting baked beans on top and then sprinkle with grated cheese - food of the gods!!

off downstairs to the toaster now...

Quote: Explain this to me:

My two year old daughter loves the stuff but both her parents and all her grand-parents hate it! Surely all those passed down genes would dictate she hated it too?

I think Marmite like/dislike gene is regressive. She isn't ginger too is she?

Sounds odd, but some pitta bread, toasted, cut open to make a kind of pocket, with butter, some marmite and a fried egg, is incredible. With brown pitta, its pretty healthy too, so you can stuff your face and not feel guilty.

On its own: inedible, but makes good gravy for tree-hugging veggies like me.

The Guinness stuff is almost palatable though Smile

I don't need a brown pitta to stuff my face and not feel guilty!!!

Have to keep the cholesterol levels up, you know!

Soft boiled eggs with marmite soliders. Cream crackers or Matzo crackers with butter, (proper butter that you put on thick) and a smattering of marmite. Yum Yum. .....I think I'll go and make a marmite sarnie.
