The Hankook were about 50 a corner less than either the Eagle or Dunlop which Jaguar use out of the showroom and rated better. I can't comment on the Continental which came off, as they were rather worn, except to say the wear rate was pretty poor.

Think I'll invest in some tyre socks though if we keep getting snow.

I found the wear rate of Continental rather poor, even though they are pricey tyres.

Was thinking of tyre socks myself this morning having seen a plumber's van fitted with them - driving wheels only.

I did some research on them before I bought the Jag and they get good reviews. They are also more forgiving than chains when the snow/ice is intermittent, though you have to be careful not to use them on bare tarmac otherwise you will shred them.
