It so happens that my favourite movie scene is from my favourite movie, On Golden Pond. It's where everybody has gone down to the lake skinny-dipping, and Henry Fonda, and his daughter's new boyfriend, the dentist, are left alone in the cottage. Henry starts to pick the guy's brain and see what he's made of. I actually feel uncomfortable even when I think of the scene; excellent acting by both of them.

The end of Casino where Joe Pesci and his (on screen) brother are 'retired', permanently.
....and from one extreme to another....
An Officer and Gentleman and Pretty Woman have a couple of decent and moving scenes.
"didi Mao"! says the VC as he slaps De Nero's face in the scene from The Deer Hunter, during the Russian Roulette game. Apparantly the slaps were real too.
Another would have to be James Cagney being dragged to the "Chair" in Angels with dirty faces.
Prob one of my favourites would be Rutger Hauers end scene in Blade Runner.
Oh sooo many .. but I always love the scene in the fast food restaurant on Pulp Fiction when Samual L. Jackson gives the chat to the guy robbing him ... awesome stuff :o)
Clint Eastwood, Eli Wallach & Lee Van Cleef in the graveyard finale of the Good, The Bad and The Ugly....and, of course, the watch.
The opening scene of Cobra Verde. With the haunting music of Popol Vuh and the enigmatic Klaus Kinski in a panoramic sweep of baron landscape. Same film when he strolls into town and a barrel rolls down the street. Werner Herzog is genius.
Oh I found it on youtube skip to about 55secs in for the best bit
Opening 10 minutes of Saving Private Ryan takes some beating too.
And Gladiator where he walks with his hand running through the corn to the music of Lisa Gerrard
I like the scene at the end of Paris, Texas. The little boy 'Hunter' is reunited with his mother in a hotel room. The overjoyed mum scoops up the 8yr old. As they look at each other he notes her short hair. It is a moment of tender brilliance when he crops his finger scissors around her hair to complete an embrace.
Same as Kris Dutson .
I down loaded the scene to my pc a while ago.
This one from The Champ (1979)...
I'd like to see that one Pete; areal tear jerker Boyd; I agree with Kris, in fact many scenes are memorable in the spaghetti westerns of Leonne; The Deer Hunter is one of my all-time favourites; haven't seen Casino, or Pulp Fiction, but the song Lonesome Town by Ricky nelson from PF is also an all-time favourite; I love the simple, but great sounding chord structure in the song.
High Noon. Gary Cooper slings his sheriffs star into the dirt and rides out of town with the most beautiful girl in the world.
I don't think they've made a western that I don't like.
Another scene that comes to mind is where Bruce Willis comes to grips with the truth in Sixth Sense; excellent acting.
Quote: Prob one of my favourites would be Rutger Hauers end scene in Blade Runner.
I have too many to list, but here are a few:
The scene where Shane rides away at the end, with the little boy running after him and calling his name.
The scene in 300 when Leonidas has insulted the Persian envoy, who says "This is blasphemy! This is madness!". Leonidas says "Madness? This is Sparta!" and kicks him down the well.
The first scene in Reservoir dogs with Mr Orange lying shot in the back seat.
The last fight scene at the end of Fellowship of the Ring.
When Smurfette tries on a new dress for the first time in SMURFS in 3D.
I know it involves guns but I find that scene where they cant get past the front door because of the locked gates in Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels and start shooting the drug suppliers, has be lolling everytime.
