An old small format laptop bag doesn't cost anything.
And you can still use the laptop as a doorstop.

Its more like my master event bag from lowpro that was on a jrssops special at fifty squid. I do like the Orange pouches and tripod attachment though Smile
Its filled with helium to lighten it Wink

Well how about this one from Manfrotto

It is quite nice but I bought this one for 84.95
have to say I do not now think it is the best of bags but it serves the purpose for which I bought it and at minimal cost.

The first Makes you look like a business man with something worth nicking.

The seconds Ok, would probably look more the part after being dragged 500 yards behind the car.

You'll probably find something just as useful down the market for fifteen quid.

180 for that seems well over-priced.

I paid quite a bit for my Lowepro but it's a much bigger and more sophisticated bag. I've picked it up and swung it over my shoulder with a helluva weight in it and have winced bracing myself for a tearing noise from the straps - but they hold.

Lowepros are so well-made and I imagine it's the same for Tamrac and Crumpler too.

There should be a fair few messenger bags on Asos.com at reasonable prices.

You can buy the padded inserts for camera bags separately - one of those plus a cheap end shoulder bag should so the trick. And it doesn't look lioke it holds a lot of expensive gear.

I bought a standard messenger bag and made my own inserts from thick stiff foam & duck take to hold the SLR and its main lens. 20 for a nice bag and 2 for the moveable (to other bags) insert. mmm there's an idea a moulded soft inner that can go in a regular bag - any mfg's listening...
In fact my must often used camera bag is a cheap 10 tesco rucksack with a 20 lowpro nova bag inside it. fits like a glove and looks like nothing of interest from outside.
