I have encountered a problem with the autofocus on my Dimage Z2. I have noticed on some subjects it just doeas not work, and the result is a blurred out of focus image that is fit only for the rubbish bin. It is so frustrating. Any one any ideas on how to overcome the problem, or do I need to get it serviced.

What sort of subjects does it not work on?

It is hard to say realy because it is inconsistant. On some it is fine yet on a similar subject that is the same contrast/colouring it doesn't do anything. This makes me suspect that a fault has developed.

Not familiar with the camera but it does sound as if it needs checking out.

Yeah, on thinking about it. It may be as well to have it checked over.
