Just received this from a friend and curious as to how they access the sim.
If you receive a phone call on your mobile from any person,
saying that he or she is a company engineer, or telling that
they're checking your mobile line and that you have to press
#90 or #09 or any other number,
end the call immediately without pressing any numbers.
There is a fraud company using a device that once you press
#90 or #09 they can access your 'SIM' card and make calls at
your expense.
Quote: I've recently received a text that says "We've been trying to contact you re the results of your PPI claim and we're ready to proceed so please ring this number!"
I've not made a PPI claim.
Another scam. If you call back they know it's an active number and pass on your details to other companies and continue to pester you.
oh darn it, there was me thinking I just might claim the £3860 they have waiting in my name for the accident I had
A couple of texts have even more waiting for me.
Luckily I have a block list on my mobile so most of them don't get through now, sick of the calls and texts but love my own number so I don't want to transfer to another to get shot of 'em.
