I've noticed that when I upload some images for modification, they seem brighter and more saturated when I open them up in ps, then it did on epz. I don't understand why this would happen. It's not as if I change monitors...any ideas?

Colourspace? (i.e. are you editing in sRGB?)

Always edit in a 'rich' colour-space e.g. AdobeRGB or even ProPhotoRGB then, as a final modification - go 'Edit/Convert to Profile.../[select]sRGB' and you're done.
