Following on from a recent thread that got me thinking as to what you, dear readers of ePz, consider to be the saddest/most depressing film ever?

    Apart from Mamma Mia obviously.

I can't watch The King and I without breaking my heart when Yol Brynner dies.... gets me every time... (would have Said Schindlers but has been done already)..
And I break my heart at the end of LOTR - though I cry even when I get to the end of the books too...

The end of Legend of 1900 is pretty sad, but it is my favourite movie.

    Saddest Film:

    Love Story

But I have not been to the cinema for around 30 years so there may be loads of others that are sadder !

Philidelphia was about the saddest for me and a great film with a kick ass sound track.
