Quote: also - why does it open a new TAB every time you click on a menu item?
Glad you said that - i thought my control key was stuck down!
also good to see the "Quay bar and restaurant" so proudly displayed on the groom's head - just so they can remember where they got married ![]()
in general though...
Font too small - and wrong colour, grey on black is bad
Font not readable - time new roman... surely a sans serif font is better these days? look at amazon... they're doing well...
Orange headings.... reminds me of B&Q rather than weddings....
Prices page.... do you find this approach works ? Seems really negative.... "I'm not interested in..... "
the little thumbnail thing to the right is ok actually - can quickly browse
I did notice this bit from the website:
Quote: I am considered by many of my clients to be one of the best wedding photographers in the Uk.
I had to read the above twice before I spotted the qualifier....... I was too much in shock the first time! ![]()
What's the thread about? Ah yes, music on websites. Absolutely detest it. Hope that helps. ![]()
Many brides-to-be look at wedding websites while at work.
Instead of putting music on his site, Lucian might as well have a stentorian voice proclaim, "look at me! I can't be bothered to do any work today! I'm far too busy thinking about my wedding!".
I don't know anything about website design, but at my work I'm entitled to 1 hour of personal use on the computer - but your site is blocked: Personal Network Storage and Backup.
It's a lot better without the music. ![]()
I guess the thing to remember is that music which appeals to oneself doesn't necessarily appeal to other people. For example some may like to have a bit of Mozart on their site. But, as is quite well known, places like bus stations will deliberately play that type of music to stop young chavs hanging around for too long, and vandalising the place! ![]()

Yep - and it loads a lot quicker too.
My problem with music on sites is I pay my 10 euros a month to listen to Spotify which is on all the time im browsing, often quite loud...site music often comes thru at pain level so I instantly close them...I do however expect it on actual artists sites...CSN and Y, Rory Gallagher ect...stuart
You need to change "emmotion" to emotion in the "About You" part ... in fact there are several small errors in the "Prices" section ... it kind of makes you look a little less professional. As for music on the site ... No! Just No!
Quote: appologies for the ranty people on here, many need to learn how to speak to humans! and qualify why they detest it and offer CONSTRUCTIVE advice.
anyway there are some basics that need sorting, pm me if u want to have a chat.
LOL
No, the question was answered perfectly:
Quote: Do you think having music on a website is a bad thing
YES
