The red stripe means that the moderators are not watching your activity, the blue stripe indicates that they are.

I think that you see your own avatar in red and all others in blue. It helps you identify you comments in the forum. As I see mine in red but all others including yours in blue.

Might be wrong but thats how I see it.

Edit. Now I'm confused, some avatars show the blue line but some don't show any colour

kombizz who started the thead has a blue line in the first comment but he doesn't make any more comments so no more blue lines, yours should always show as red.

All makes sense now

Aaaahhhh Thanks to Steve Charles I can see it all now. Time to run away and hide now methinks.
