Why does my avatar show a red stripe down the LHS. It is currently set as a 46 X46 white square but I can see a red line down the LHS? Oh! it's gone blue now.

The red stripe means that the moderators are not watching your activity, the blue stripe indicates that they are.

Or it could be the other way around.

I think that you see your own avatar in red and all others in blue. It helps you identify you comments in the forum. As I see mine in red but all others including yours in blue.

Might be wrong but thats how I see it.

Edit. Now I'm confused, some avatars show the blue line but some don't show any colourSad

Red is you so you can identify your own comments in a thread.

Blue indicates the person who started the thread. Which is why it is blue in this thread.

    Apologies for dull boring answer.

But why is it red in this other thread when all others, except the OP, don't have a line?

kombizz who started the thead has a blue line in the first comment but he doesn't make any more comments so no more blue lines, yours should always show as red.

    All makes sense nowGrin

OK I understand why ... />kombizz who started the thead has a blue line. But is the red line on my avatar there for my benefit and am I the only one who can see it?
