My wee pride and joy - Toy Yorkie "Benji" passed away today and have left us all utterly devastated.

Just really wanted to open a post for anyone wishing to chat about their pet loss.

So sorry to hear this, Sharon. I don't even want to think of losing my golden retriever Ashley - I'd be devastated.

We lost Star 10 months ago and it still hurts. She was a star by name and by nature, absolutely the softest dog you could ever ask for.

You have my deepest sympathy.

Chris

(Please have a look at her in my portfolio and read her story, but please don't think I'm "fishing" for votes)

I know how you feel, I lost my cat many years ago and I still have a cry now and then for her. My Dad lost his dog and he never got over it, he was devestated. Be strong.

Thank you so much for all your kind words.

He was the funniest, loving wee dog ever who loved nothing more than getting cuddles, getting his belly rubbed, and he adored giving kisses and lots of them lol..

So so hard to loose something so special Sad

Been through this a number of times and it does not get any easier, such short lives and so devoted.
Not much I can say to you to be honest as it is so painful even after time has passed.
Just hang in there and le the good memory's burn through the sadness.

My sympathies to you. I know how hard it is. Our cavvie is 13 now and we know he may not live another year. Treasure your memories.

How sad - they do become part of the family and are missed greatly - my old lab (nearly 16) passed away several years ago and I still miss him dearly. Sandra

Ah yes, I know just how awful this is, we lost our gorgeous Westie, Annie, a few months ago. Time will make things better, though - and you'll be able to think more about all the fun and good times you had together.
