Landscape. (When I find any?)
Well anything really but mostly landscape.
I don't really have a preference although I've developed a liking for photographing the birds in my garden.
Partly because they're always willing targets and partly because I'm getting some pretty pleasing shots.
Also, I'm finding myself acquiring an interest in the birds. I've gone from looking at something with feathers and wondering what it is, to actually being able to identify a fair number of them!

Virna,
I think we've all been there at some point.
I have an image on here that I only got because I walked home and came back out with a camera and for months now I've been after a shot of a magpie. There are plenty around here but I just cannot get near one for long enough.
Except when I don't have a camera!

Today, when I was going to office I saw a perfect composition - our city is preparing to celebrate Victory's day (th 9-th) and are many national flags all around the city. And I've seen a dozen of flags in the trailer of very old tractor. Today is very windy so it was such nice scene!
But... I didn't have camera, so now I'm very upset...
Provided your friend is not activly leading to the dimise of the felines and other animals I see nothing wrong in documenting a part of life that might not be so appealing. Infact in photographery there are a great many images that are famous just for the harsh presentation of life that they show (eg Holocaust photos).
As for me wildlife, bugs, landscape, pets, captive animals and other such similar subjects. I'd really like to give skyscapes and startrails a try as well!
I tend to be fairly eclectic, I think. I don't particularly think I'd fit into any one catagory as I try to shoot a little bit of everything. I feel every situation can teach you something different and often can lead you to how you tackle certian things in a slightly different manner...things that perhaps had never occured to you.
For an interesting excersise (in more ways than one), I like walking the streets...taking pictures of whatever catches my eye.
I've done a lot of flowers.
The artist Georgia O'Keeffe said "I paint them because they're cheaper than models and they don't move."
I prefer shooting wildlife, specifially swans and ducks down the local pond. I want to broaden my photography to include sport and then people.
