Running a part time studio I offer Portrature Photo shoots. Before Christmas a friend asked if I would ofer a free photoshoot, for their company raffle, with the ticket money going to charity. I did this and offered a £150 shoot.

This was one by one of the girks from their account dept, who I now find out is someone who bullies and harrases my daughter. Only at New year her and her brother verbally abused my daughter in a club and tried to start a fight with her and her new husband.

After this incident I was hoping she simply wouldnt contact me for a shoot date, however she did, and tells me that she wants it to be a family shoot with her brither in attendance also! She knows who I am and who my daughter is, so is clearly out to take what she can from this family. I do not want to let them anywhere near my property let alone spend an hour or two trying to get pictures of these people.

What should I do? I fear she will cause me trouble no matter what I do.

Do I have to honour the photoshoot voucher under these conditions?

    Jules

'fraid you will have to - if you don't then even without the legal implications the bad publicity could ruin all your hard work to date

Could you not ask a local tog to do it for you, and if necessary, pay him to avoid the confrontation. I know it was to the value of £150, but if you pay him for an hour or so of his time? Not ideal, I know but it sounds as if you badly want to avoid the person.

Talk to the company concerned, bet they wont like it that an employee of theirs behaves in this way.

Good luck and all the best, I can see why its upsetting.

Where do you live if its anywhere near North Wales I would offer to help you.

Pay someone else to do it, or offer her the money.

Personally, if I knew of someone who bullied my daughter, I'd use it as a perfect opportunity to smack the **** out of them.

Just go ahead with it, wait till they settle in and say "well, aren't you going to strip then, you did know it was a nude shoot didn't you". You could really have some fun then, plus you'll have the originals to show around if they ever play up again Smile

Couldn't agree more Bri, but not everyone has the same ways or abilities for whatever reasons.

Many many thanks for all the advice, keep it coming, Although some of it sounds a bit dodgy Smile

I have no intention of letting her brother anywhere near my studio, and as SHE not HE won the voucher, I believe that even if I do go through with it, I will be able to say no to him attending. Failing that, I think I am going to have to pay her £150 for what would have scost me £30.

I can't believe by rotten luck on this occasion, and I was trying to contribute and all that Sad

I might have a word with CAB or get some legal advice before coughing up though?

    Jules

PS: Many thanks Lee for the kind offer, however I and they live in Norfollk. Besides, I really wouldnt wish these people on anybody.

tell them to get lost & don't be a door mat to them.

tell you friend why you won't do the shoot & if they are a true friend they will back you 100%
