New camera

2 Sep 2012 9:26PM
I got a new camera for my birthday last week, Canon EOS 100D. My previous camera (which I still have) is a Sony Alpha 230, I now have to hunt for lenses as the Canon only came with a efs 15_80mm. Anyone know where to buy lenses that are reasonable in price?

Thanks.

Mal

Hi Ginluvva,
There's also a number of Canon lenses available in the ePHOTOzine classifieds:

Do you mean the Canon EOS 1000D or 1100D?

Cheers,

Josh

From your portfolio so far it looks as if you like landscape. You can't go far wrong with a nice wide angle, the early version Sigma 10-20mm DX USM (non IS) is excellent. Currently under 330 with a well known on-line retailer. You don't say what sort of photography you might be interested in or what price you want to pay.

Have you tried ffordes (correct spelling), they are based in Inverness but they are on-line www.ffordes.com, we use them on a regular basis (selling mostly), all their second hand stuff is guaranteed. Please avoid E-Bay, it is always worth paying a little extra for a guarantee and buying from a reputable supplier.

Hope you find what you need.....GrinGrinGrin

Never thought, but I have a canon 17-85mm IS for sale if you're interested. Good walkabout lens and pretty sharp.

Malcolm how much are you looking for?

My camera is the 1100D version (I should proof read).
