Looks like digital is on another roll. Although I still like my film, this digital thing is finally beginning to show promise. In a few years time perhaps this new chip at a true 6 megapixels coupled with a decent storage medium could finally sound the death-knell for film.
Mind you, even if the cameras get cheap, you still need a PC, printer etc. Not to mention loads of batteries, compatibility issues
For the techie-minded the Foveon website is quite interesting (link from BBC on RHS).
