    Hey everyone!! I'm new around here and realtivly new to photography. My frined littlejennywren on ePhotozine suggested this place to me, can't wait to get started being a part of the community!
    I have a Nikon Coolpix S570...... Yeah, I know, not very good XD I'm planning on getting a better one though- Eventually
    For right now though I'm just getting as good as I can with it! Smile

    Welcome.

    Don't get too hung up on the equipment issue, just concentrate on the image. Whether you have a coolpix or a D3s, it makes no difference if you can't use it.

    The only real difference for the most part is the quality of the output. A D3s won't make you take better pictures, it'll just improve the quality in print or on-screen. At the moment, it'd probably just confuse & frustrate you with a lot of options you don't understand. So stick with what you have, improve your craft, then start to think about something else when you've reached the creative limits of your coolpix.

    You'll find that a lot of people have a compact anyway, for the times when they can't be bothered to lug the main camera around.
