Hi Everyone,

Yesterday, we opened up access to a new gallery photo uploader which is set to replace the existing one in the future. You can access it by going to upload a photo to the gallery (http://www.ephotozine.com/gallery/upload) then clicking the link in the yellow box at the top.

In most modern web browsers you can drag and drop your photo in. One of the main benefits of this new uploader is that you can enter the details about your photo while the photo is uploading, making the process much quicker.

we want to know your feedback, so if you have any please contact support.

I can drag, but it won't drop. From my computer, I meant to say.

The drag and drop facility isn't available in internet explorer, but all other browsers it is. To drop, you should just have to release the mouse button over the dashed out area on the page.

I use Firefox. And it isn't working. Just had another go and it shows the red circle.

Very nice. More intuitive than the traditional way of doing it...assuming you have your photo file available for dragging in the first place, of course! Wink But then you have the "old" way of doing it too.

Nope. Tried some more pics from my computer but they just won't drop.

Seems to be working for me using Firefox 15.0.1 but is slower than Safari 6.0.1 by about 2 seconds ! !

BUT, so much easier and quicker than the current system.

I'm on 15.0.1 too. It works if I select the picture then Open in the usual way, but not drag and drop.
Well, at least it works one way if not the other.

That is what I was finding using Camino.

New uploader is a big improvement on the old one, and the drag and drops work ok with my chrome browser, no problems whatsoever, feels much slicker than the old one, good work Smile

Worked fine for me - Firefox, but didn't find it any quicker than what I would normally do. Still had to open another file to access the image

I had a try. I clicked on the link and then tried to get an old image from my portfolio. A new overlay came up with all my images to choose from. After I'd chosen, clicked and dragged, I couldn't get rid of the overlay. I had to exit EPZ and start again.

I'm on Firefox (still not used to the new system).

I've just had another go. This time the overlay was lower and a blue exit cross was in the top right corner - but when I clicked and dragged nothing happened!
