Hi everyone, we are aware of the performance issues of the new site and we are working hard to get it back to its normal speed. This is unfortunately one of the things that we could only test so far. You can't always expect the strain on the server.
I'm finding exactly the same thing Affleck - it seems to take eternity to get into a page.

Very very slow here too; gotta be sorted as I don't have the time to wait ages for sites to download :-(
I just click out
I have no doubt that EPZ will be looking at the problems of
server speed/response etc., but my first impression is that something has been fixed that really did not need fixing.
I have always found using this site and absolute joy with
response time being no problem whatsoever.
However this morning on trying to select the last page of the
readers gallery (from page 1 to 28641) took over three
minutes!!!
On the basis of this, I have yet to see what benefit this has to the user.
This is not a knock-- I really hope that you are able to resolve this issue quickly.
Oh my gawwwwd....flashback to when I first started the internet years ago. I would have thought this was fast.....!!!
Painfully....slooooow.
Why on earth fix something that didn't really need fixing???
I know there used to be a few problems, but you always got them sorted out , but this new version is a bit ridiculous at the moment.
I have been trying to find our how to do some uploading...where on earth do I go???
Where is my list with my favourite photographers???
Do I get notifiied if I have mail???
Sorry, at the moment I do not like the new layout.
Have been trying for hours to find my way around it all, but am giving up now & going out into the sushine.

We could, of course, have stood still, but it seriously needed fixing to cope with new technology needed to bring the site up to date.
If we took the attitude that "it's not fixed don't break it" we would still be riding horses to travel and communicating with quill pens.
Site navigation should be easy to get used when we resolve the speed issue.
I agree - plus it looks more modern - if you think about it, all the sites around have got this streamlined look so it's great that epz has got into the more modern design.
Nice work, well done all at epz!
