Hi, macspot.
I recently acquired a Nikon 50mm 1.8 prime lens from an eBay seller.
I had resevations about buying this way. [I'm relatively new to eBay purchase, as well as to photography]
However, it's been a spendid buy. I use it a lot & love using it.
It's precise: it's clear & so easy to use.

Go for it. You'll prob love it too. Smile

Super lens

Great lens, check around for best price. I bought one about a year ago from an eBay shop in HongKong, 50 + 25 p&p. Right now I'm waiting for a Nikkor 70-300mm from another eBay shop in HongKong. This one is 79.99 post free. I'm hoping it's as good as the other one I bought.

I've got a Nikkor 50 mm f/1.8: it's cheap, it's easy to use and I really love it.

I've got the Canon version. It's my favourite lens EVAAH.

I stuck my Planar 50mm / f1.7 on my 139Q this afternoon for session trudging around my favourite site.

It was almost as if the sun had come out.

Well,......almost! Smile

For price/performance there's nothing to touch it.
