Here's a link to the heart of the info. Medium format yet?

I seem to recall something recently but damned if I can find the thread!

S'bound to happen though... the gauntlet was thrown down by Nikon with the launch of the D3 and Canon have been caught slightly on the back foot because of it. Meanwhile they (Canon) have the launch of the 5D MkII about to hit and it's odds on that Nikon will take the high-ground following that launch to announce the D3x/D3Mx WHY...

I just wish Pentax would get a grip and bring out a digital 6x7!!

    (sigh!)

    Wink

Mike, you may be thinking about Barrie's Nikon Rumours thread.

It will be great to finally have sharp shots straight out of the camera.
    Bring it on Gillette Smile

The camera will probably be the best a man can get.

I did also mention on another post some months ago that it was believed that Nikon are going to be releasing a 'medium format' style dSLR which seems to tie in with this (based on released code for another of their products which refers to a D3x and also an "MX" format camera which is where the medium format speculation comes from).

As to mergers, I understand Canon are going to merge with McCains so that users can have chips on both their shoulders Grin (and don't get inflamed, it's only a joke Smile)
