My D7000 is not affected. Thanks for posting. Smile

If you registered your camera serial numbers with Nikon (free Nikon service)
1/ It is three weeks since Nikon emailed those with a camera that accepts the battery
2/ Nikon seem to match repairs against who it registered to before proceeding with a repair.

I got my new D800 mid April and the battery was fine - not one of those affected. They must have nipped it in the bud fairly quickly.
