Hi My D3 has developed a fault that is a little confusing? I can take photo's and I know they are written to the memory card but the rear display shows an extremely distorted picture almost like vertical lines? I have done a full reset and checked the battery different lenses etc but still no joy it hasn't suffered any moisture problems like fogging ? Initially I thought the video board had gone faulty but I can connect via HDMI to the TV and do live view etc and the usb connection works fine the other thing I have noticed is that the rear screen is displaying live view as I can make out shadows as I move my hand on front of the lens the display is very slow when bringing up the displayed picture almost like displaying a couple of mm per second?

I presume you have eliminated the possibility of a card problem. If so it is probable there is an electrical fault which needs a specialist repair.
