Quote: Canon announced that long time ago but still in developing stage!

I don't need a D4 (can't afford it anyway), but I like the fact that Nikon keep developing and innovating....while Canon are half sleeping most of the time.

So in summary, Nikon are good because they are 'developing and innovating', while Canon are bad because they are still 'developing and innovating'.....

Yeah, more or less.....Tongue

Just wondering how long it took for Nikon to get to D4 from previous model (D3s?). and Canon to get to 1Dx from previous model (1Ds MK3?) (OK, I know it is a mix of 1Ds 3 and 1D4)

Now for a good price for a secondhand Nikon D3S which will be flooding the market once the D4 is launched.

I know the 1DX seems to be merging the '1Ds' and '1D' lines - but it does seem more of a 'full frame 1D' rather than a 'fast 1DS', and when was the 1D4 released.... 4th quarter of 2009.

Canon and Nikon have been trading punches for a while now

It was an interestig read.

However, Nikon users are proud of their cameras, so it was no surprise to read that the latest model is the greatest thing since unsliced bread Wink

Personally, I'd get the D7000 instead of the D300s. Just some food for thought.
