Forget the Nikon D80, this is next year's biggest imaging product. Dedicated B&W!

(Sorry, couldn't resist!)
it does duplex - double sided photos! Bet Nikon can't beat that!!!
Here's a comparison between the canon 400D and the Canon 30D
Comparison between the 400D vis-a-vis the 30D
Written by someone entirely biased who has never used a 30D. Great.
I'm a bit concerned about the "internal Dust Delete Data system, which can map the position of any visible dust on the sensor and delete it automatically after the shoot with the latest Digital Photo Professional software."
I can just see flying birds, peoples heads in the distance, etc etc being deleted without you wanting it. We'll never be able to shoot blobby shapes against a bright background again. ![]()
The 'Dust Delete Data system' sounds like the dust off ref. thing on Nikon cameras ( wel, it was on the D70 at least, haven't looked at the D200 to see if it's there ). You basically take an 'blank' ( white ) image so that the dust spots show up and it uses that against your pictures and automatically clones out the bits where the spots are on the ref. image.
Never used it myself. Always either tried to keep the sensor clean, or did it by hand in PShop. Have never trusted automatic things like that to get a good result.

The bad thing about it though, is that not all 'dust spots' are immobile, so it won't neccesarily be cloning out the correct spots all the time. And if the spots are the kind that won't shift when the camera is moved about a bit then the sensor should probably be cleaned before they weld themselves to it...
