    isn't it a shame that LOCOG missed this wonderful opportunity for the world to see pictures of the olympics...it's not just the journalistic style that we want to see but the human elements....such a nanny state!!! Sad

    Huh? has anyone said they had problems taking photos then?

    Haven't heard of any, but there seem very few images going around of the actual sporting events

    I'm not sure how you can blame LOCOG for that. I know they have done a lot of work to make sure the pictures from the games look great and in most events you see lots of cameras and phones being used by the spectators.

    I've seen quite long zooms being used. Perhaps those people aren't EPZ members though.

    None at all, its just under the maximum length allowed but no one took a tape measure to check it. I will be taking the same combo to the mountain biking on the final day of the games.

    Very nice pictures Cambirder. They show in order calculation, intensity, fighting spirit, and no fear! For the amateur photographers, who don't get the chance to shoot such events often, these moments remain unforgettable.

    Cambirder, do you mind uploading one in the galleries? it may have aknock in effect there,,,I've just seen one but it was from a rugby game of Sheffield Eagles against Halifax... Thanks for your contribution again.
