Great photos RedAdniral, I liked the inclusion of the camera crew on the motorcycle, quite an effort from them also, and the arrow pointing forward to the direction of the viewer. I also liked the inclusion of the hand and the flag, the only hint in the picture of where this photo is taken(?!!!) Thanks for the uploading,

Cor, chuffed. Just got a ticket for next Saturday morning athletics session in the Olympic Park. Brill. I'll heed Chris's info above and chance the DSLR and Tamron 18-270mm. It's quite compact before zooming so I'll get it in my handbag OK. With the hood on and fully extended it reaches to 27cm. I presume that'll be OK.

You won't have any problems, they really are quite relaxed about cameras and no one seems to be using a tape measure at security, Enjoy your day.

Thanks. I could kick myself for not taking it to Greenwich but it seems everyone else was getting away with it. Smile

Yup no problem at all AFAICS.
Go for it Chris - I took in a shoulder sachel type bag fll of gear and they really arn't interested as long as it will go under your seat.
Take in 20 pounds of semtex and you might have a few problems though.

Yesterday at the Equestrian I had my D700 & Sigma 150-500 in my backpack & my binos. My backpack fitted under the seat. No one said anything. At the rowing I had 2 bodies and 2 lens 70-200 and wide angle. No problems. Lots of empty seats. Not sure about the arena

Yesterday I saw another two members uploading photos from Paraolympic equestrian sports. I have invited them to upload them here. Similarly if you have or see someone uploading a picture from them please let them know of this forum post so we can all admire them. Thank you.

Some shots from the stadium today.....these are women getting ready for the 200 metre heats.

A packed stadium, and beautiful weather....a great day out.

Here is a collection of photographs from the Daily Telegraph which shows the indomitable spirit of the competitors - dogged determination and not a little ingenuity.

And I complain about 'not having enough time' to get down to the gym....Sad

A few shots showing the massive support in the stadium for the athletes....the empty area where the world's media sat on the finishing line for the main Olympics, but, sadly, no longer attend for the Paralympics -(boo!)-, and crowd entertainment outside the stadium.
