The one lens that has really surprised me is the Sigma 19mm, cheap as chips but really good.

Taken today. I got halfway to the zoo and realised my camera was on the table at home. Went back, got the camera, and went to the zoo. Took a few shots and movies of the penguins, and went to the Rain forest house, where my glasses fell apart while taking the first shot. Wasn't my day.![]()
Quote: The price doesn't seem to have come down at all.
Quote: Its only been out about six months, far too early for a price drop
The E-M5 was launched 8 months ago. By now most camera bodies would have seen a substantial drop - some drop in as little as 3-4 months. On launch there were free goodies available - like the free grip which a similar price to the 45mm/f1.8 now on offer.
So..... I would agree the price has not come down at all. Demand is still very likely substantially outstripping supply, so Olympus don't see the need to do any discounting.
PS: Love the penguin pics, Denny. ![]()
I got mine through my local Jessops when it first came out as nobody else had them in stock.
Gave me the chance to have a good play with it on several occasions before deciding to buy it (something you can't do with on-line shopping, and their price was as good as the best available at the time)
Just checkout out Jessops' website. You naughty people - I'm not supposed to be looking.
But how am I going to buy one and integrate it into my kit without the OH noticing? New shoes and bags are easy compared with this! ![]()
