Quote: something I've never tried but you may have encouraged me to have a go (when it warms up a bit)
Now's a good time when the sky is crystal clear. I just put on extra hats and clothing. Where I went I was approached by police as the remote location is a parking space for dogging and drug deals! I must have looked the part with my extra padding and silly hats. I was warm though!
Good job it wasn`t an organised mini meet, would have looked a whole lot more iffy ![]()
One from last week-end shot at an indoor riding school arena under low mixed lighting.
I used the 45f1.8 with f3.2 and ISO 1600 for 1/50th sec hand-held and got some rather nice, low noise images of our Grand-daughter's birthday gymkhana + a fun video of the action
This is from the .jpg file
The more I use it the more I like it ![]()

Happy Christmas All, as CB said, this has been an amazing thread and very interesting to follow.
I snuck out for a short while this morning in the brief sunny spell and shot the floods on the River Avon and at our local Quayside. Thank goodness we have been spared the worst effects that some have seen, the traditional Water Meadows helping a lot there.
I've just prepared the Lobster starter and the 3 bird roast is in the oven right now with tatties and sprouts prepared, so I snuck off for a quick EPZ before the meal (my wife does the Puds, so I don't have to worry about that
