And a Happy New Year to the OM-D-EM-5 Group

This is one of the best threads currently running here on epz.

Have enjoyed reading almost all of the comments / banter and viewing the uploaded shots.

Looks like it is a great camera Olympus have here..... what are the rumours about the next version EM-6 ! !

Christmas Day, -21C, lots of snow, and wind. Over 450 car accidents in the city yesterday with the slippery roads. We were going to go to the mountains today, but the conditions aren't good.

Merry Christmas, and a Happy New Year to you all.

PS: What brand are we promoting next year?Wink

Hope everyone has had a good Christmas. Central Texas is cold today - we are expecting -5C tonight and winds gusting 40-50 mph.

I have a lot of affection for Pentax, based on past experience. I don't know anything about their current offerings, though.

The Pentax K1000 was my site camera and will always have negative memories as the only time I got to use it was when I had to leave the lab to go on-site and resolve technical problems. That said, it was an excellent tool, tough as old boots and survived desert, jungle and the wilds of of Mossmorran in Scotland (in some ways the most challenging conditions of all! Wink )

Mossmorran could just as well been Baytown, Texas with all its refineries.

I was a Pentax MX and ME owner. I still have the ME and some Tri-X in the refrigerator.....might have a go one day. Smile Maybe when the M-5 is off getting itself repaired.
